Flash is the only plugin I, personally, find "necessary" and it works
beautifully in Mozilla. I can't comment on any other plugins.

The Flash shorts were great. No flickering, smooth sound.

You have to differentiate between a bad plugin and a bad browser. In the case
of Real Player, you are dealing with a bad plugin (on Linux, at least).

Earlier this year Real and RH announced that they were working together to
bring an improved Real Player 7 to Linux. Now 8 is out and I don't really
know what happened to 7.
