I have recently purchased Corel Linux v2.0, and I have been trying to install
it, to supplement my Windows. I am currently running Windows 98, and I have
already partitioned my hard drive so that I have a new ext2 labeled drive
2000.7mb large to instal Linux to. However, when I attempt to instal Linux
to that drive, it tells me that I need to create a ROOT PARTITION. Being new
to this, I have no clue what that is. Before I end, I'll tell u that I am
using Partition Magic v6.0 to partition my drive without losing data. Can
someone please tell me how to do this, and if they can, mind trying to tell
me how to in the most mindless language you can. I'm no computer genius, I'm
just sick of Windows, and don't want a MAC, so Linux seemed like my natural
alternative. Tahnks for your time
