Hello, I have installed Corel linux standard os second edtion on my Toshiba
Tecra 8000 laptop. When attempting to load os, I get the following message:
fsck version 1.2
dev/hda5 contains a file system with errors. Check forced.
hda: irg to status = 0xd0 (Busy)
ide: reset:`success

Then this message shows up:
fsck failed. Please repair manually & reboot. Please note that the root file
system is currently mounted read-only. To remount it read-write:
# mount -n -o remount, rw/
Then it goes on about rebooting system, etc. I try typing in the command they
give, and it doesnt work. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY THING STOPPING COREL
FROM BOOTING. IT SAYS IT IS MOUNTING FILESYSTEMS, AND THEN WHEN IT CHECKS FILE
SYSTEM, IT HANGS UP AND GIVES THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED MESSAGES. ANY
SUGGESTIONS? ***Also, I will pay someone for a copy of the Red Hat 7.x if they
bring it to the meeting at OCC on 2/6/02. Thanks!!
