Samba can be a bear the first time but once configured is hassle-free. XP
does make it a bit harder. I'd suggest downloading Cygwin and then runnin=

it on top of XP. That way you can do it all from the command line in a UN=
IX
environment and be free of the inherent limitations of XP.=0D

You might also have a look at Webmin if you prefer a GUI, but Webmin only
seems to work well once everything has already been set up via the CLI.=0D
