Although I've almost no experience with Debian, I know that when I was messing
around with SAMBA mounts, it was far easier to use the smbmount command than
the system mount command. And if you want to add a mount to fstab, good luck!
However, this was over a year ago, so things may have gotten better since
then. But I still think smbmount is worth the try. As well, feel free to
take a look at SyrLUG's online SMB HOWTO:
