So, you want to use a Linux machine as a gateway/firewall with IP
Masquerading? The IP Masquerading notes didn't help? :-( Assuming
the Linux machine can see the Internet and the Windows machine can
reach the Linux machine, here are three possibilites.

(1) Do you have IP masquerading turned on with your ipchains or
iptables rules?

(2) Is IP forwarding turned on on the Linux gateway?
"cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward" should answer 1.

(3) Does the Windows machine have its default gateway set to the Linux
machine? It's not enough that the two machines can reach each other,
you also have to set its default gateway. Of course, how you set this
is a Windows question.

If it's none of these, then we need more information about the Linux
gateway. Your ipchains or iptables rules would be a good start.
