When I responded I set the reply address to the forum so that if you had any other questions the rest of the gurus would have an opportunity to help. I apologize for not mentioning that in my response. (This is going to the forum as well as to you too.) And although I appreciate your compliment about my "wealth of Linux knowledge", my ability to assimilate new data unfortunately is often far outstripped by the pace of emerging technologies, the more so because of my limited budget. <grin>. And you may want to do a little bit of Google searching before you give up and buy a new video card, as there quite likely is someone who's already successfully conquered getting one to work on Linux and X.
