I've been using Mandrake for 2 1/2 years now, but recently I've become more
and more disappointed in it. I found a major bug in the 10.0 installer where
it completely messes up the repartioning of a Windows 98 system in a dual
installation. I reported it to Mandrake, and was ignored. I spoke of it on
alt.os.linux.mandrake, and all I got was attitude. Friends of mine have had
similar problems with the attitude over there. It's like the new Mandrake
says, "If you aren't giving us money, you don't exist."

It's time to go in a new direction. I've heard good things about Fedora. The
stated goals on the website are much closer to what I think open source should
be. I've also heard that the transition from Mandrake to Fedora is probably
easier than to other distributions.

What do you guys have to say?
