I can tell you how to set user-agent string, but if the site you're accessing
uses IE-specific HTML code, it won't do you any good.

In your home directory, somewhere underneath the .mozilla subdirectory is a
file called user.js (hint: the find command is your friend). In that file,
you add something similar to the following string:

user_pref("general.useragent.override", "NEW USER-AGENT STRING HERE");

However, you'll have to do your some homework to find out what the user-agent
string for IE is, as I don't regularly use IE, and I've no idea what the
string would be.
